What is the Procedure for Culture and Sensitivity Testing?
Once a sample is collected, it is sent to a laboratory where it is cultured to allow any present microorganisms to grow. The species of microorganism is then identified. Following this, the sensitivity test is performed by exposing the cultured organisms to various antimicrobial agents to determine which are most effective.
