What are the Certification and Licensure Requirements?
After completing an accredited nurse anesthesia program, graduates must pass the National Certification Examination (NCE) administered by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Once certified, CRNAs must maintain their certification through continuous education and periodic recertification, which includes meeting practice requirements and completing continuing education credits.
