To be eligible for the NFLP, applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or lawful permanent residents. They must be enrolled in an advanced nursing degree program at an accredited institution and demonstrate a commitment to becoming a full-time faculty member upon graduation. Preference is often given to those who are already working in nursing education or have prior teaching experience.
