Skin cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the skin. It is primarily caused by exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or tanning beds. There are three main types of skin cancer: Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma. Basal and squamous cell carcinomas are more common and less deadly, while melanoma is less common but more dangerous due to its likelihood to spread to other parts of the body.
