Complete an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or diploma). Apply for and pass the appropriate NCLEX exam (RN or PN). Submit an application for licensure to the state board of nursing. Undergo a criminal background check and meet any other state-specific requirements. Receive your nursing license and begin practicing.
