Recipients of the scholarship are required to work at a Critical Shortage Facility (CSF) upon graduation. The service commitment is typically two years for most recipients, while part-time students may have a longer service requirement. The aim is to place nurses in areas that are experiencing a severe shortage of healthcare professionals, thereby improving access to care in underserved communities.
