Granulation: Fibroblasts produce collagen and extracellular matrix, forming a new tissue scaffold. Angiogenesis: New blood vessels form to supply the growing tissue with nutrients and oxygen. Re-epithelialization: Epithelial cells migrate across the wound bed to cover the new tissue. Contraction: The wound edges pull together to reduce the wound size.
