To become a DPT, individuals must complete a bachelor's degree followed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy program, which typically lasts three years. The curriculum includes coursework in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and pharmacology, as well as extensive clinical experience. After graduating, DPTs must pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) to obtain licensure.
