What are the Challenges in Promoting Physical Activity?
Despite its benefits, there are several challenges in promoting physical activity among patients:
Patient Resistance: Some patients may be resistant to change or anxious about engaging in physical activity due to fear of pain or injury. Lack of Resources: Limited access to facilities, equipment, or safe environments for exercise can hinder physical activity. Time Constraints: Nurses often have limited time to devote to individualized physical activity plans due to high patient loads and other responsibilities. Medical Limitations: Patients with severe mobility issues or medical conditions may have restrictions that limit the types of physical activity they can safely perform.
