Students who have been identified with a disability that affects their ability to learn in a traditional educational setting are eligible for an IEP. This includes students with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and other health impairments. In nursing, an IEP may also be beneficial for students with chronic health conditions that require ongoing medical attention and support.
