Membership in Sigma is by invitation only, extended to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in their studies, as well as to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing. Eligibility criteria include:
Undergraduate students: Must have completed half of the nursing curriculum, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, and rank in the top 35% of their class. Graduate students: Must have completed one-quarter of the nursing curriculum and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA. Nurse leaders: Must hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree and demonstrate exceptional achievements in the nursing field.
