To become an AG PCNP, one must first obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and pass the NCLEX-RN to become a registered nurse (RN). After gaining clinical experience, aspiring AG PCNPs need to complete a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with a focus on adult gerontology primary care.
