SpO2, or peripheral capillary oxygen saturation, is a measure of the amount of oxygen in the blood. It is an indirect measurement of the oxygen-carrying capacity of hemoglobin in the blood. In clinical settings, SpO2 is commonly monitored using a non-invasive device called a pulse oximeter.
