National Nurses United (NNU) is the largest union and professional association of registered nurses in the United States. It was formed in 2009 through the merger of three prominent nurses' organizations: the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee (CNA/NNOC), United American Nurses (UAN), and Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA). NNU aims to advocate for the rights and welfare of nurses while also promoting a higher standard of patient care.
