Completing an accredited nursing program (either an ADN or BSN degree). Applying for licensure with the state board of nursing. Passing the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN. Undergoing a background check and providing fingerprints. Paying applicable fees.
Some states also require additional exams or continuing education.
