What are the Signs and Symptoms of Abnormal CO₂ Levels?
Hypercapnia (High CO₂ Levels): Symptoms may include headache, dizziness, shortness of breath, confusion, and decreased level of consciousness. Severe hypercapnia can lead to respiratory acidosis and organ dysfunction.
Hypocapnia (Low CO₂ Levels): Symptoms may include tingling sensations, muscle cramps, lightheadedness, and cardiac arrhythmias. This condition is often seen in cases of hyperventilation.
