While an ADN provides a quick path to becoming an RN, it does have its limitations. Some employers prefer or require a BSN for certain positions, particularly in management and specialized areas such as critical care or pediatrics. Additionally, career advancement opportunities may be limited without further education. Many ADN graduates eventually pursue RN-to-BSN programs to enhance their qualifications and career prospects.
