What Are the Complications of Untreated Chlamydia?
Untreated chlamydia can lead to several serious health complications. In women, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which can result in chronic pelvic pain, ectopic pregnancy, and infertility. In men, it can cause epididymitis and, in rare cases, infertility. Additionally, untreated chlamydia increases the risk of contracting other STIs, including HIV.
