What are the Challenges of Implementing Adaptive Testing?
Despite its benefits, adaptive testing in nursing does present some challenges:
Technical Issues: The need for sophisticated software and reliable technology can be a barrier for some institutions, particularly in under-resourced areas. Complexity: The algorithms used in adaptive testing are complex and require ongoing calibration to ensure they accurately reflect the competencies being assessed. Equity Concerns: There may be concerns about fairness, particularly if the adaptive test fails to account for diverse learning styles or educational backgrounds.
