Hand hygiene is a fundamental practice in nursing. It involves washing hands with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Make sure to clean all surfaces of your hands, including between fingers and under nails, for at least 20 seconds. Hand hygiene should be performed before and after patient contact, before aseptic tasks, and after exposure to bodily fluids.
