apache ii score

How is the APACHE II Score Calculated?

The APACHE II score is calculated using a range of physiological parameters and laboratory values obtained within the first 24 hours of ICU admission. These parameters include:
Temperature
Mean arterial pressure
Heart rate
Respiratory rate
Oxygenation (PaO2/FiO2 ratio)
Arterial pH
Serum sodium and potassium levels
Serum creatinine
Hematocrit
White blood cell count
Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score
These values are then combined with information about the patient’s age and chronic health conditions to generate a final score.
