A diagnostic label in nursing is different from a medical diagnosis. While a medical diagnosis identifies a disease or medical condition, a nursing diagnosis focuses on the patient's response to health problems and life processes. For example, while a medical diagnosis might be "Diabetes Mellitus," a nursing diagnosis could be "Imbalanced Nutrition: More than Body Requirements."
