The CGFNS Certification Program (CP) is a multi-step process:
Application: The nurse submits an application and relevant documents, including educational transcripts and professional licenses. Credentials Review: CGFNS reviews the submitted documents to verify their authenticity and comparability to U.S. standards. CGFNS Qualifying Exam: The nurse must pass a qualifying exam that tests their knowledge and skills in nursing. English Language Proficiency: The nurse must demonstrate proficiency in English through accepted tests like the TOEFL or IELTS.
Once all steps are completed successfully, the nurse receives CGFNS certification, making them eligible to apply for the NCLEX-RN and, eventually, U.S. licensure.
